Ulysses S. Grant's Remington Revolver – The Weapon That Ended America's Bloodiest War

Spectres continues its legendary firearms collection with the most historically significant piece yet: the revolver that rode at Ulysses S. Grant's side from Vicksburg to Appomattox.

Following the collector phenomenon of The Revolver, the precision-crafted George Washington Flintlock Pistol, and the WWII tribute General Patton's 1911, this release recreates the sidearm carried by the general who saved the Union, and whose personal Remington revolvers commanded a staggering $5.17 million at auction.

The Gun That Witnessed Appomattox

General Grant didn't collect guns for show. His matched pair of Remington New Model Army revolvers were battlefield tools, carried through the siege of Vicksburg, the hell of Shiloh, and into the McLean House at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865, the day Robert E. Lee surrendered and the Civil War ended. These weren't safe queens. They were war-won relics present at the single most important moment in American history. When Grant's personal Remingtons appeared at an auction in 2024, they shattered records, selling for over $5.17 million. Collectors weren't bidding on ivory grips and blued steel, they were buying the weapons that witnessed the reunification of America.

The Remington New Model Army was Grant's choice for a reason. Its solid-frame design made it more durable than the Colt, a practical decision for a commander who spent more time in muddy trenches than polished headquarters. Where other generals carried ornate presentation pieces, Grant carried tools. This coin honors that legacy.

Battlefield Steel, Silver Precision

We've faithfully recreated every detail of Grant's legendary sidearm. The octagonal barrel. The distinctive Remington frame. The grips feature raised relief carvings: Grant's portrait on one side, and the patriotic eagle with Columbian shield on the other. All rendered in exacting ultra-high relief. The black antiqued finish mirrors the period-correct blued steel of Grant's original revolvers, giving this piece the battle-worn aesthetic of a weapon forged in war. But where Grant carried ivory grips, we've kept them in antiqued silver, our creative take that showcases the precious metal while honoring the historical form.

1,000 Pieces. Official Legal Tender. Museum-Grade Presentation.
