About the Piece
“Trump Derangement Syndrome” became one of the Trump era’s most persistent political taunts. Trumpenol takes it to its logical conclusion: if TDS is the diagnosis, this is the cure. The name riffs on Tylenol, but Spectres takes the parody far beyond the name.
The bottle becomes TRUMPENOL Extra Strength, with MAGAcetaminophen as the active ingredient and 47 caplets marking Trump’s 47th presidency. Turn it over and the joke continues as a full Drug Facts label, recasting Trump-era politics as medicine: America First, border security and Second Amendment rights become part of the treatment, while woke ideology and the deep state appear in the warnings.
Spectres recreates the medicine bottle itself as a shaped silver collectible, turning a disposable over-the-counter package into something permanent. The edition is 4,547 pieces, combining Trump’s 45th and 47th presidencies — carrying the idea from the name on the bottle all the way to the number produced.

How is this a coin?
- A coin is defined by its official issuance, not by its physical shape. This piece is formally issued as legal tender by a sovereign issuing authority, with an official denomination and year of issue.
- Money and coinage have also taken unconventional forms throughout history, including ancient Chinese knife- and spade-shaped money. Spectres continues that idea in modern legal tender, where a coin may be round, shaped, functional, sculptural or fully three-dimensional.
